La louange et l’adoration sont pour moi un un puissant moyen de connexion avec mon Dieu. Je ne me rappelle pas plus intenses moments que quand je me laisse aller à le louer et l’adorer.

Il eut des saisons dans ma vie où il ne restait plus rien à dire qu’élever la voix et chanter.

Tel ce soir où une importante décision concernant mon avenir se décidait. J’avais les mains liées face à une situation où seule une intervention divine pouvait faire la différence. À bout de forces, sèches de larmes, seule dans ma chambre j’élevai la voix et entonnai « You are alpha and omega, we worship you our Lord, you are worthy to be praised… »

L’atmosphère de la pièce se transforma, mais au delà de cela, ma situation également se transforma.

Dans tous mes moments de désert et de vide l’adoration et la louange, ont toujours été vecteurs de joie, d’apaisement, de ce sentiment intérieur qui me fait dire :

« … tu es là Seigneur, même si je ne peux te voir, cette brise douce et légère que je sens ne peut être que toi, cette paix dans mon cœur ne peut provenir que de toi, ces larmes de désespoir dont le goût se change en miel, ne peuvent être que la preuve que

TU ES LA ! »

 Il y a tant dans Sa présence. Au delà des réponses à nos questions, au delà des bénédictions, il y a Lui. 

Languissant de nous voir poser notre regard sur Sa personne, juste parce que nous Le désirons. Telle une jeune épouse qui embrasse son époux qui n’a rien d’autre à lui offrir que son amour et dont la seule constante promesse face à un avenir incertain est « je t’aimerai toujours ».

Louer et adorer le Seigneur peuvent produire bien des choses, mais ce que je retiens c’est qu’elle Le remettent à Sa place tout en remettant les situations de nos vies en perspective.

Praise and worship have always been for me a powerful connection mean to my God. I do not remember most intense moment that those in which I could lose myself in bringing Him praise.

There have been seasons in my life where there was nothing left to say and to do than raise my voice and sing.

Like that night when an important decision about my future was going to be made. I had my hands tied in a situation in which only a divine intervention could make a difference. Exhausted, dry tears, alone in my room I sang « You are alpha and omega, we worship you our Lord you are worthy to be Praised … »

The atmosphere in my room was transformed, but beyond that, I later realized that my situation also changed.

In every desert and empty moment in my life, worship and praise, were vectors of joy, healing, and of this inner feeling inside that says:

« … You’re here Lord, though I can not see you, the gentle breeze and light that I feel can only be You, this peace I feel in my heart can only come from you, the tears of despair which taste changes in honey, can only be proof that YOU ARE THERE « 

 There is so much in His presence. Beyond the answers to our questions, beyond the blessings, there is

Him.

Yearning to see us put our eyes on Him, just because we want His presence. As a newly bride who kisses on the altar the man she just got married with, who has nothing else to offer her than his love and whose only constant promise face an uncertain future is « I will always love you. »

Sometimes I wonder if I spend enough time worship and praising Him just to say « thank you » for being there. I think the answer is obvious to everyone …

Praise and worship the Lord can produce many things, but what I remember is that the call to His place while turning the situations of our lives in perspective.
